Job summary

E2 Consulting Engineers, LP is seeking a Senior Drafter in the Pasadena area to support a major electric utility client. You will develop and modify drawings using AutoCAD or MicroStation, including one-lines, wiring diagrams, layouts, and BOMs, reporting to the Engineering Manager or Supervisor.

You will collaborate with engineers and designers, manage project documents, and provide accuracy checks and revisions as part of a team delivering design and construction documentation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a consulting engineering firm or equivalent in a similar role.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MicroStation or similar software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong understanding of timekeeping and working in a team environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Understands project workflows.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create drawings using 2D/3D CAD software for one-line, three-line, schematic and wiring diagrams, layouts and details.
• Interpret sketches, specifications and documents to design, detailing and verify electrical parts and assemblies.
• Prepare detailed drawings and BOMs, revise drawings per engineering changes.
• Check accuracy of drawings prepared by others and ensure documentation control.
• Generate as-built drawings from field redlines and manage project documents.
