Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; Electric Power Systems preferred.
• Advanced degree preferred.
• Registered Professional Engineer license desirable.

Responsibilities

• Identifies Distribution System problems involving multiple feeders and substations; leads scenario-based planning studies and recommends solutions.
• Develop medium (2–5 year) and long (5+ year) distribution plans addressing load relief, capacity, asset issues and DER integration.
• Build, maintain and validate electrical distribution models including low-voltage networks and secondary topologies with power system simulation tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional groups to develop long-range planning criteria for integrating PV, EV, and battery storage technologies.
• Prepare contingency studies (N-1, N-2) for distribution networks and propose new substations and feeders.
• Perform area-wide voltage and power factor studies; lead forecast studies for loads used in planning.
