Job summary

Suburban Consulting Engineers, Inc is seeking a Senior Designer (Electrical) to lead electrical design efforts in our Hackensack, NJ office. The role focuses on water, wastewater, land development, and utility projects with related client coordination and site visits as needed.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, about 3 years of experience, and familiarity with local regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• 3 years’ experience preferred.
• PE license track preferred.

Responsibilities

• Designs, analyzes, and interprets electrical data and plans.
• Perform load calculations and conductor sizing.
• Develop power distribution plans, single-line drawings, grounding plans, and cable schedules.
• Create equipment data sheets and BOMs; conduct submittal reviews.
• Assign tasks to staff; review completed work; assist with scheduling and budgets.
• Assist with proposals and project close-outs and attend project meetings.
