Job summary

IMEG Corp in Minneapolis seeks a Senior Electrical Designer to lead design efforts on moderate to complex projects and mentor less experienced staff. You will work with engineers and consultants to deliver electrical systems design, manage budgets, and ensure quality control.

The role emphasizes client interaction and project leadership across engineering disciplines. Ideal candidates have 7+ years in building design consulting (BS in EE or BIM-engr related) and are prepared to travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent required.
• 7 years of experience minimum required, 8 preferred, in the building design consulting industry.
• Associates degree, or certificate, in BIM or Engineering preferred (11 years of experience in related field allowed).
• Willingness to travel up to 20% with occasional overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, oversee and manage projects ranging in size and complexity.
• Assist Project Executives and Client Executives with design scopes of work and fee calculations for proposal generation as well as with contract reviews.
• Create project schedules including targets for milestones and deadlines.
• Serve as the point of contact for teams and clients.
• Create monthly billings and submit financial information to Accounting; update billing projections and completion percentage for all projects monthly.
• Ensure design follows owner standards and IMEG/ code requirements; ensure milestones and quality control processes are completed.
