Job summary

EEA Consulting Engineers is seeking a Senior Electrical Designer in Austin, TX, to lead electrical design efforts and mentor entry-level engineers within the Graduate Training Program (Bootcamp). This role blends hands-on drafting with program leadership across light commercial projects.

You will leverage AutoCAD and Revit to deliver comprehensive electrical designs, coordinate BIM workflows, and ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, and related standards while contributing to company capabilities

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience designing low-voltage systems in MEP consulting, preferably light commercial or retail.
• Strong ability to teach, mentor, and develop entry-level engineers and designers.
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IESNA, IECC, IEEE standards and coordination in BIM environments.

Responsibilities

• Bootcamp Training & Mentorship: support planning, development, and delivery of the Graduate Training Program for entry-level engineers.
• Electrical Design: create and revise drawings, models, schedules, and specifications using AutoCAD and Revit.
• BIM coordination and standards development; ensure design integrity and regulatory compliance across projects.
