Job summary

C&I Engineering in Louisville, KY is seeking a Senior Electrical Designer to join our Power & Controls team. You will develop electrical, instrument, and control designs and perform computer-based design tasks on diverse projects.

The ideal candidate has 11+ years of related experience, proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation, NEC knowledge, and a willingness to travel up to 10% domestically or internationally.

Qualifications

• 11+ years of related multi-discipline engineering experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and MicroStation for construction documents.
• Ability to travel up to 10% domestically or internationally.
• Knowledge of industry codes and standards; NEC familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Provides instrument and electrical designs for multi-discipline projects.
• Resolves coordination conflicts and negotiates win-win solutions.
• Uses vendor docs, surveys, and models to check dimensions and interfaces.
• Ensures accuracy and consistency with project objectives and client expectations.
• Creates drawings in AutoCAD and MicroStation using codes and standards.
• Maintains safety and regulatory compliance.
