Job summary

C&I Engineering is seeking a full-time Assistant Electrical Designer to join our Power & Controls team. You will develop designs for electrical, instrument, and control systems, and perform computer-based design, engineering, and planning tasks on projects in oil & gas, food & beverage, and spirits sectors.

The role requires drafting proficiency, NEC knowledge, and the ability to travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a two-year technical college with specialized training in CAD drafting and design.
• Related work experience including preparing construction documents in a multi-discipline engineering environment.
• Ability to travel domestically or internationally up to 10% and to comply with safety and TWIC/background checks.

Responsibilities

• Prepares models, drawings, and design sketches from directions given by a Senior Designer or Engineer.
• Assists in preparing design packages for routine projects meeting design intents and customer expectations.
• Ensures quality by producing accurate, complete, and consistent work.
• Travels to gather field information and verifies drawings.
• Ensures drafting meets client and CAD standards.
• Compiles material summaries and bills of materials considering design costs.
