Job summary

Trs Staffing Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Senior Electrical Designer in Newport Beach, CA, to join a multidisciplinary engineering team.

The role focuses on leading electrical design efforts for complex projects, delivering construction documents, and coordinating with internal and client teams. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of electrical design experience, a PE license, and fluency with AutoCAD/REVIT, OSHPD/HCAi standards, and California energy codes.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Power engineering or related field.
• PE license in Electrical Engineering (licensed for at least 3 years).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical design.
• Experience with AutoCAD/REVIT.
• Experience with OSHPD/HCAi.
• Knowledge of Title-24 Part 6 California Energy Conservation Code.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete construction documents including drawings, power system studies and specifications.
• Oversee designs for medium and low voltage systems, including single-line diagrams and equipment layout.
• Lead interior and exterior lighting design, verifying foot-candle levels meet IESNA requirements.
• Participate in meetings with clients and review submittals, RFI responses, and AHJ comments.
• Review deliverables and enforce QA/QC through design and construction phases.
• Perform site visits and coordinate with architects, contractors, and other teams.
