Job summary

Onward Search is partnering with a respected multidisciplinary engineering firm to recruit a Senior Electrical Designer for their Newport Beach, California office. This full-time role targets an experienced electrical professional who will work on diverse commercial, healthcare, education, mixed-use, and institutional projects.

The Senior Electrical Designer will lead electrical system design, coordinate with multiple stakeholders, and produce construction documents with AutoCAD and Revit while

Qualifications

• 7+ years of electrical design or electrical engineering experience in building systems
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit; experience producing construction documents for commercial, healthcare, education, or institutional facilities
• Strong understanding of electrical codes and standards; California project experience, PE licensure, DSA, HCAI, SKM, ETAP, or Title 24 knowledge is a plus

• Lead the design and development of building electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and related infrastructure for commercial and institutional projects
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, owners, and internal engineering teams to deliver accurate, high-quality construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit

This is a full-time opportunity for an experienced electrical professional who enjoys working on a diverse mix of commercial, healthcare, education, mixed-use, and institutional projects while collaborating with a highly skilled engineering team.

Senior Electrical Designer Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of building electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and related infrastructure for commercial and institutional projects.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, owners, and internal engineering teams to deliver accurate, high-quality construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Support projects through construction by responding to field questions, resolving design issues, and ensuring successful project execution.

Senior Electrical Designer Qualifications:
