Job summary

Coffman Engineers’ Orange County office is seeking a Senior Electrical Designer with at least seven years of experience to join our multi-discipline team. You will design electrical systems for commercial, retail, institutional, healthcare, and federal projects, collaborating with architects, owners, and contractors to deliver coordinated drawings.

The role requires strong communication, engineering judgment, and proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.

Qualifications

B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering.
7+ years of experience.
Experience with AutoCAD and Revit.
Experience with building power distribution design.
Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and time management skills.
California Electrical Engineering License preferred.
Experience with DSA and HCAi projects preferred.
Experience with California projects and codes preferred.
Experience with Title-24 Part 6 California Energy Conservation Code preferred.
Experience with SKM and/or ETAP software preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform and oversee analysis and design on a variety of commercial and institutional building projects.
Collaborate with the architect, owner, and contractor to provide a coordinated set of electrical drawings.
Participate with a team of engineers, designers and drafters to execute electrical designs.
Interface with contractors during construction to ensure positive results with minimum complications.
Work closely with the Discipline Manager and assist in design and drawing production.
