Job summary

Hatch, a global engineering consultancy, is seeking a Senior Electrical Designer to join the Houston, TX team within the Project Delivery Group. You will contribute to electrical, automation and communications design for heavy industrial projects.

Requires 10+ years in electrical design and proficiency with Microstation/AutoCAD; knowledge of NEC, NFPA, NEMA and IEEE; ability to supervise junior designers and coordinate interfaces across disciplines.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in electrical design.
• Knowledge of high/medium/low voltage electrical equipment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work on electrical design-engineering for industrial solutions.
• Produce and maintain 2D/3D CAD drawings.
• Design electrical systems, MCC schematics, interconnection diagrams and cable schedules.
• Perform cable sizing, tray/raceway design and BOMs.
• Coordinate electrical interfaces with other disciplines.
