CV Engineering in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Senior Electrical Designer to join our on-site team. You will develop detailed electrical designs for large industrial facilities, produce construction documents, and lead coordination with engineers across disciplines from concept to construction.

The role offers growth in technical leadership, requires 5–8 years of experience, NEC knowledge, and proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Drafting, or related field preferred.
• 5-8 years of electrical design experience in industrial or heavy industrial environments.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD; Revit experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of NEC and industrial electrical design standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical design drawings and construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Develop electrical layouts for power distribution, lighting, grounding, conduit systems, cable trays, and equipment arrangements.
• Create single-line diagrams, panel schedules, cable schedules, and bills of materials.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers to develop accurate and complete design packages.
• Coordinate with project managers and other disciplines to meet requirements and schedules.
• Incorporate client comments and revisions into drawings.
• Ensure designs comply with industry codes and company drafting practices.
• Maintain high-quality drawings with revision control throughout project phases.
• Contribute technical insights on electrical system complexities and improvements.
