Description

This position allows for a hybrid work schedule with a mix of work spent in the office and working remotely from home.

• This position offers the opportunity to utilize and expand your drafting skills within a multi-disciplined team environment, working alongside designers and engineers to prepare design drawings based on input.
• You will have the chance to apply your computer-aided drafting skills and receive hands-on training in 3D design software environments.
• You will be involved in creating master sketches to scale, showing the relation of proposed installations to existing facilities with exact specifications and dimensions.
• You may accompany and assist experienced designers on walkdowns at client facilities to gather information for your projects.
• While interfacing with vendors and construction contractors, you may be asked to explain your drawings to facilitate appropriate design adjustments.

Qualifications

• An Associate's Degree in a technical area including drafting, or a high school diploma with equivalent technical design experience.
• 15+ years of experience using standard computer drafting tools (e.g., MicroStation).
• Ability to visualize parts in 3D without computer aid.
• Knowledge of MicroStation.
• Ability to multi-task across projects.

Valued but not required skills and experience:

• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in producing technical plans, drawings, and models.
• Understanding of engineering science and technology, including relating equipment to technical designs.
