Merrick & Company is looking for a Senior Electrical Designer in our Tulsa, OK, Greenwood Village, CO, Chattanooga, TN, Richmond, VA. The role involves designing power systems primarily for Heavy industrial facilities, Oil, Gas & Chemical projects, including complete electrical designs at the drawing level, assisting Project Engineers with drafting and some design responsibilities.

Hourly pay range is $40.00 - $52.00, depending on experience.

What You'll Do

• Apply knowledge of building systems, codes, and standards such as NFPA 70, 72, 101, 110, 780; UL 96A; ASHRAE 90.1.
• Assist engineering teams with system selection and design, including lighting, power distribution, grounding, emergency and standby systems, fire alarm, telecommunications, CCTV, and intrusion detection.
• Document calculations for code compliance, perform quality control reviews, support construction with RFI resolution, shop drawings, and field inspections.
• Monitor and manage project work, ensuring all comments and markups are incorporated into design documents.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Minimum 8 years of electrical designing and drafting experience.
• U.S. Citizenship required for client projects.
