Job summary

Medtronic in Minnesota is seeking an experienced electrical/technical professional for an on-site role in Cardiac Ablation Solutions. You will provide expert hands-on support for electrical product development, testing, troubleshooting, and lab operations, building and debugging assemblies, PCBs, and fixtures.

You will also diagnose hardware issues, partner with engineers to improve methods, and mentor junior technicians, while maintaining documentation and calibration records.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant experience as stated in the posting.
• US high school diploma or equivalent; technical education or certification encouraged.
• Expert knowledge of electronic systems, lab techniques, troubleshooting, schematics, and test instrumentation.
• Ability to independently perform complex technical work and drive system improvements.
• Experience training, coaching, and delegating work to other technical staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical support for electrical product development, testing, troubleshooting, and lab operations.
• Build, modify, troubleshoot electronics, PCBs, cables, prototypes, and lab equipment per drawings and procedures.
• Perform complex electrical tests; configure instrumentation; analyze data and prepare test records.
• Diagnose hardware and system issues using structured troubleshooting and cross-functional collaboration.
• Collaborate with engineers to improve test methods, fixtures, and lab workflows.
• Identify and implement improvements to safety, quality, efficiency, and equipment reliability.
• Train and mentor junior technicians and delegate tasks as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation, calibration status, inventory, and traceability.
