Bowman seeks a Designer V, Electrical (Oil & Gas) to lead a team in Houston, TX, developing electrical systems and detailed CAD schematics for diverse projects. You will collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to analyze requirements, propose innovative solutions, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

The role includes project scoping, planning, status reporting, and scope management, with exposure to BOMs, equipment selection, and cross-functional reviews as part of the delivery

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate degree or equivalent preferred.
• Ten or more (10+) years of relevant experience.
• Excellent facilitation, communication, and analytical skills – written and verbal.
• High level of personal integrity.
• Strong relationship capabilities.
• Proficient in both written and spoken.

• Provides computer aided design (CAD) drafting, prepares drawings and schematics derived from a variety of specifications, layouts, vendor data, and sketches.
• Coordinates and consults with engineers or other designers to complete projects, ensuring adherence to established specifications and standards.
• Support equipment sizing & selection, alternative analyses, and other deliverables.
• Support the engineering, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of facilities.
• Present design deliverables to project members, cross-functional teams, senior leadership, external vendors, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Plan, forecast, and actualize deliverable progress to support project reporting and schedule requirements.
• Identify scope changes and estimate impact to effort and schedule.
• Supports proposal efforts by evaluating RFP scope, indentifying list of deliverables and estimating effort required to complete deliverables.
• Monitors progress and performance against the project plan.
• Work is highly independent.
• Prepares, reviews, and approves electrical equipment, conduit, and wiring BOMs and design.
