Job summary

Beacon Hill is seeking a senior-level electrical design engineer to lead the development of custom high-voltage test systems used by R&D teams across advanced engineering programs. The role combines technical leadership with hands-on ownership of design, build, validation, and deployment.

You will guide a small electrical engineering team while personally designing, building, validating, troubleshooting, and deploying complex test equipment.

Qualifications

• Requires an Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5–8 years of hands-on leadership in electrical design.
• Experience designing high-voltage equipment (400–1,000 V).

Responsibilities

• Own electrical design of custom test systems from concept to deployment.
• Design high-voltage systems with safety, interlocks, and protection.
• Develop power electronics: converters, inverters, motor drives, bidirectional power.
• Create PCB electronics: schematic capture, layout, bring-up, validation.
• Produce BOMs, harness drawings, and interconnection documentation.
• Lead bring-up, debugging, and performance validation of advanced test equipment.
• Mentor a small team of electrical engineers and collaborate with other engineering groups.
• Support lab work and travel for deployment or troubleshooting.
