Job summary

Simplexity is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer with strong new product development and robotics experience. You will lead electrical systems from concept to manufacturable product, designing schematics, BOMs, and PCB layouts while collaborating with mechanical and firmware teams.

You will drive robust design requirements, perform board bring-up, and support EMI/EMC certification, ensuring clear documentation and continuous process improvements.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• 8+ years of electrical engineering experience.
• Proficiency with Altium design tools for schematic, PCB, and layout.
• PCBA board-level troubleshooting with root cause analysis.
• Ability to lead projects and prioritize work to completion.
• System-level thinking and proactive issue anticipation.
• Excellent organization, analytics, and precise documentation.
• Clear communication and a client-focused, ethical approach.
• Team player with collaboration across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical project leadership for electrical systems of consumer, robotic, and medical devices.
• Translate rough concepts into fully working manufactured products.
• Develop robust design requirements and select components and architecture.
• Design circuit schematics and BOM; assist PCB layout.
• Perform board bring-up and integration testing with mech and firmware teams.
• Write test procedures and assist formal verification of design.
• Manage BOMs and redesign parts for obsolescence or supply constraints.
• Apply EMI design principles and assist EMC certification.
• Document design steps and improve engineering practices.
