Job summary

Hitachi Energy in the United States is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join a specialized transformer design team. You will own electrical system design from concept through customer delivery, delivering reliable, high-performance solutions for North American markets.

You will work with seasoned engineers across disciplines, lead design reviews, develop drawings and models, and ensure compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5–8 years of electrical design experience, preferably in the power transformer industry.
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and CAD tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and engineering documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and evaluate complex electrical systems and transformer components.
• Develop manufacturing drawings, customer documentation, and bills of materials.
• Create advanced models and simulations to solve engineering challenges.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous product improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align designs with market and sales strategies.
• Lead or support technical investigations and implement effective engineering solutions.
• Engage with customers to resolve technical issues and strengthen relationships.
• Prepare specifications, proposals, and technical reports while supporting approvals.
