Job summary

X-energy is seeking an experienced senior electrical engineer to design and implement electric auxiliaries, interconnection, services and specialties. The role supports project teams to understand operability, interfaces, and requirements, and produces drawings, calculations, reports, and test plans.

The candidate will mentor junior staff, stay current with industry practices, and lead execution with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited program.
• Professional engineering license in the appropriate discipline from a recognized licensing board.
• Typically, fifteen years of experience in a functional engineering role.
• Master’s degree may substitute two years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, scheduling, and organization of detailed phases of engineering work.
• Review P&ID diagrams, system descriptions, or system architecture to derive electric service needs.
• Prepare design packages and calculations for delivery to client.
• Develop equipment specifications and data sheets.
• Coordinate between specialty and other engineering groups, suppliers, and contractors.
