Job summary

Simplexity Product Development, Inc. seeks a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to drive new product development.

You will lead electrical design for new products, design circuits and PCB layouts, perform board bring-up, and collaborate with mechanical, firmware, and software teams to deliver robust, manufacturable systems. The role emphasizes strong fundamentals in analog/digital design, EMC considerations, and thorough documentation, with on-site work in San Diego and collaboration with client

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited program.
• 8+ years of engineering experience.
• Independent worker with minimal supervision.
• Strong planning and prioritization for project completion.
• Excellent organization and documentation skills.
• Clear communication and client-focused.
• Ethical and collaborative team player.
• Experience with EE design across analog/digital domains.
• Experience bringing products from concept to production.
• Lab troubleshooting and debugging experience.

Responsibilities

• Take initial design concepts to working, manufactured products.
• Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, and software engineers.
• Translate requirements into system architecture and component selection.
• Design circuit schematics and PCB layouts.
• Conduct board bring-up and integration testing with cross-functional teams.
• Write test procedures and assist in verification.
• Manage BOMs and obsolescence or supply constraints.
• Apply EMC design principles and assist with certifications.
• Document design steps and improve engineering practices.
