Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Electrical Design Engineer for Gateways & Customer Hardware (Starlink) in Bastrop, TX. You will own the development of millions of customer-facing devices, including Starlink dishes, user terminals, and gateways, ensuring robust hardware for global use.

You will collaborate with silicon, software, mechanical, thermal, and manufacturing teams to drive concept through production, while meeting demanding environmental and reliability requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years designing circuits, electronic products, or hardware.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test highly reliable electronics for communicating with satellites.
• Partner with software, mechanical, thermal, manufacturing, and production test teams.
• Drive system trades, requirements capture, component selection, analysis, schematic capture, PCB layout, prototyping, hardware bring-up, debugging, documentation, manufacturing and test of complex electrical designs.
• Get hands-on and support hardware through production, satellite integration, and flight.
• Work with engineers from adjacent disciplines to deliver high-performance hardware.
• Drive improvements by building tools to analyze data on orbit and in lab.
• Challenge assumptions and find simple solutions to complex problems.
