Job summary

fab2 in Austin, TX is looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to own the electrical hardware for our chip fabrication machines end-to-end. You will identify problems, prototype solutions, productionize your prototypes, and deliver finished systems that our in-house team can assemble into fab tools.

You will work on high-voltage low-noise boost converters, motor drivers, attofarad sensors, and millikelvin temperature controllers, with success measured by clean-sheet designs advancing to

Qualifications

• Experience owning electrical hardware design end-to-end.
• Proficiency in analog, digital and mixed-signal circuit design.
• Ability to prototype, test, and productionize hardware in a fast-paced maker environment.

Responsibilities

• Own the clean-sheet design of PCBAs and electrical systems from schematic capture to production.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with software, mechanical, and process teams.
• Investigate design approaches and perform simulations to evaluate electrical designs.
