Job summary

SREIL Energy is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to support large-scale US utility projects from a remote, home-based role. You will lead design work from concept to IFC, review SLDs and layouts, and coordinate with clients and EPCs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 815 years of experience in electrical design and engineering.
• Hands-on US utility-scale Solar PV / BESS project experience preferred.
• Experience with large-scale MW/GW projects.
• Knowledge of US electrical codes, grid interconnection, and power systems.
• Proficiency in ETAP, SKM PowerTools, EasyPower, AutoCAD, or equivalent tools.
• Strong technical communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design from conceptual stage to detailed/IFC engineering.
• Prepare and review Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), electrical layouts, cable sizing, and electrical calculations.
• Design/review AC/DC systems, MV collection systems, substations, transformers, and switchgear.
• Support grid interconnection, protection coordination, and technical design reviews.
• Ensure compliance with US electrical codes and standards, including NEC, IEEE, and applicable utility requirements.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, US clients, consultants, and EPC contractors.
• Preferred: Experience with US-based EPCs, engineering consultancies, substations, and renewable energy projects.

• Design/review AC/DC systems, MV collection systems, substations, transformers, and switchgear.
