Job description

Our client, a rapidly expanding technology firm specializing in custom test and measurement systems, is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their team.

Based in Dallas, our client focuses on designing, integrating, and manufacturing custom test and measurement systems for industries such as aerospace, defense, radio frequency, energy, and biomedical.

Responsibilities :

• Evaluate customer requirements and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Create electrical and electro-mechanical systems, including test circuitry and hardware system architecture.
• Produce prototypes, designs, and documentation using electrical CAD software.
• Assess and select appropriate test measurement hardware.
• Analyze signal integrity and design conditioning systems.
• Support the production of designed parts and systems.
• Ensure deliverables are completed on schedule, within budget, and meet customer quality standards.
• Provide support during job proposal activities, including estimating materials and labor.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for tools and processes.
• Manage hardware configurations using a revision control system.
• Mentor and guide less experienced design engineers.

Requirements :

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a fast-paced design environment, specializing in electrical test systems.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, preferably in electrical engineering.
• Proficiency in Electrical CAD tools (such as Altium, AutoCAD, SkyCAD, Solidworks Electrical) and Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with RF measurement and industrial controls is desirable, as well as familiarity with simulation software (., Simulink, Matlab).
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of test software development using LabVIEW, TestStand, C / C++, Python is desirable.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Eligibility for working on export-controlled projects (US citizen or permanent legal resident).
• Experience with DOD, government, and aerospace contracts is desirable.
