Job Summary

Immediate opening for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer for a contract manufacturer of electrical, process control, motion controls, and automation systems in Bloomfield, CT. This role is onsite daily 8 am - 4:30 pm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering plus 5+ years of experience in industrial automation.
• PLC programming and troubleshooting
• Electrical circuit design
• Pneumatic and hydraulic circuit design
• AutoCAD, Solidworks
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 as well as industry standards (NEC, ASME, UL, and CE)

Responsibilities

• Design, program, and commission industrial control and automation systems.
• Provide technical and sales support to customers and other engineering teams.
• Develop electrical schematics and drawings in AutoCAD
• Develop pneumatic and hydraulic schematics and drawings in AutoCAD
• Interpret mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic design drawings for electrical requirements
• 3D design using Solidworks
• Logic design using Omron and Unitronics PLC's and HMI units
• Develop Bills of Materials (BOM's)
