Calder News LLC is seeking a Senior Technical Training Specialist/Electrical & Controls Trainer to develop and deliver high-quality training on industrial controls for distribution and automation systems in Grand Rapids, MI. You will train both internal staff and customers with hands-on labs and classroom sessions.

The role requires extensive experience with Rockwell/AB and Siemens, plus commissioning exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Controls/Mechatronics/Automation Engineering or related
• Minimum 5 years delivering training in material handling/controls
• Experience with PLCs, industrial controls, and diagnostics
• Ability to read industrial mechanical/control drawings and design specs
• Strong communication and training delivery skills
• Willingness to travel ~20% for client engagements

Responsabilités

• Develop and deliver high-quality training on field level advanced controls
• Lead hands-on drills using a System-in-a-Box running at 120 VAC
• Create student guides and digital training materials
• Deliver customer training across operations, maintenance, and controls
• Act as SME and update curriculum as equipment and requirements evolve
• Support commissioning and startup activities at client sites
