Job summary

Corning Inc. in Wilmington, NC is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support manufacturing equipment systems across domestic and international sites.

The role focuses on installation, commissioning, and startup, interfacing with system integrators to ensure on-time delivery and defined performance. You will lead installation planning, troubleshoot equipment issues, and help develop integrated control systems for new and modified machinery.

Qualifications

• Associate of Applied Science or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent education/experience.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing equipment or manufacturing engineering.
• Strong background in equipment design, selection and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with industrial control systems including analog/digital I/O and control logic.

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical discipline support in manufacturing equipment systems at domestic and international sites.
• Interface with system integrators to deliver integrated process equipment on time and budget.
• Develop and execute equipment installation plans; supervise trades during installation.
• Lead troubleshooting during installation and startup; identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Support development of integrated industrial control systems for new or modified equipment.
