Job summary
Corning Incorporated seeks an Electrical engineer with 5+ years in manufacturing equipment to support installation, commissioning, and startup of complex systems at sites worldwide. You will work with system integrators and machine builders, developing installation plans and leading troubleshooting to maintain schedule and performance.
The role requires travel (domestic and international) and a strong background in industrial controls, instrumentation, and project execution.
Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing equipment or manufacturing engineering.
- Strong background in equipment design, selection and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with industrial control systems including analog/digital I/O and control logic.
- Experience with project plans and timelines in manufacturing/construction.
Responsibilities
- Provide electrical discipline support for manufacturing equipment systems at domestic and international sites.
- Interface with system integrators and machine builders to deliver integrated equipment on time and on budget.
- Develop and execute detailed equipment installation plans; supervise trades groups.
- Lead troubleshooting during installation and startup; identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Support development of integrated industrial control systems for new or modified equipment.
