Job summary

ITAC seeks an Electrical Engineer to support construction, installation, debug, and startup of equipment and automated systems on client sites in Wilmington, NC. This seconded, full-time contract role focuses on hands-on work on the manufacturing floor, with supervision of technicians and trades as needed.

The position emphasizes field execution, safety adherence, and collaboration with system integrators to deliver integrated process equipment on time and within budget for industrial clients.

Responsibilities

• Develop and use project plans and timelines to achieve project goals while adhering to safety, IP, and quality guidelines.
• Ensure safety training for project team and verify safety requirements are met, identify issues, investigate incidents.
• Develop understanding of processes and equipment functions in area of responsibility.
• Analyze and improve installation practices to enhance schedules and efficiencies.
• Coordinate with system integrators and machine builders to deliver fully integrated equipment on time and budget.
• Perform hands-on troubleshooting and direct technicians and trades to replace defective components and implement changes.
• Provide training to internal or contract engineering staff.
