Job summary

Perrigo is seeking an Engineering Technician with Electrical Controls experience for the 1st shift at the Grand Rapids, MI Plant. You will troubleshoot, service, and repair automation systems, PLCs, and robotic work cells, while mentoring junior technicians and contributing to equipment changes and validations.

You will collaborate with engineers on capital projects, develop training programs, and ensure SOPs and GMP standards are followed, supporting productivity, quality, and cost improvements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• DOL Electrical Journeyman Certificate.
• Training in electrical, electronics and programmable logic controllers, variable frequency drives, and motion control.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, service, and repair automated systems and robotic work cells across the site.
• Troubleshoot control systems such as PLC programs, motor VFDs, and other electronic components.
• Develop, train, and support the electrical apprenticeship program.
