Job summary

Xpertis Talent is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design and implement electrical control systems, lead NEC/compliance reviews, and manage multiple high-stakes projects. You will collaborate with engineers across disciplines, mentor junior staff, and ensure safety and reliability in every design.

The role requires deep NEC/UL508A knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to drive projects from concept through certification and closeout.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• EIT or EI certification indicating FE exam; PE preferred.
• 4+ years of electrical engineering with NEC, PM, and system design focus.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, UL508A and related standards.
• Experience with data analytics and Microsoft Azure products & tools.
• Experience with MQTT, API, and webhook networking protocols.
• Familiarity with Modbus and BACnet.
• Strong project management skills with multiple concurrent projects.

Responsibilities

• Review, specify, and implement electrical systems with design engineers per NEC and industry best practices.
• Review schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts for new projects.
• Lead technical review sessions to align with requirements and safety standards.
• Serve as NEC code expert ensuring designs comply with current code.
• Assess designs for UL508A compliance, supporting UL certification.
• Maintain safety, efficiency, and reliability across electrical systems.
• Manage multiple electrical engineering projects, keeping on schedule and budget.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, factory, and cross-functional teams.
• Prepare technical reports, project updates, and closeout documentation.
• Design and implement electrical control systems with PLCs, HMIs, and automation components.
• Support integration and debugging of Modbus, Ethernet/IP, and other protocols.
• Troubleshoot and optimize control systems to improve performance and reduce downtime.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, PMs, and cross-functional teams.
• Represent the company in client and partner meetings as NEC/code expert.
• Stay updated on NEC updates and industry trends to maintain expertise.
