Job summary

Güntner is seeking an Electrical & Controls Engineer in the United States to ensure NEC compliance, manage projects from conception to completion, and collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to deliver high‑quality results.

The ideal candidate holds a PE license (FE considered) with experience in NEC, UL508A, and industrial protocols such as Modbus; leadership, mentoring, and travel to factories are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• PE licensure or FE with plan to obtain PE.
• 4+ years in electrical engineering focusing on NEC, code compliance and design.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, UL508A and related standards.
• Familiarity with Modbus, BACnet, Ethernet/IP.

Responsibilities

• Review, specify and implement electrical systems following NEC code and best practices.
• Review schematics, wiring diagrams and control panel layouts.
• Lead technical review sessions to ensure project requirements and safety.
• Serve as NEC code representative for US market and compliance.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, factory and cross-functional teams.
• Prepare technical reports and project updates for closeout.
• Design and implement control systems integrating PLCs and HMIs.
• Support integration and debugging of Modbus, Ethernet/IP and other protocols.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide professional development.
• Travel internationally to factories and for key client meetings.
