Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking Mid to Senior Electrical Engineers for offices in Englewood, CO, Casper, WY, and Billings, MT. The role focuses on electrical and controls design for pipeline, compressor, and terminal projects nationwide, with leadership on multi-disciplinary teams.

Ideal candidates have 5–10 years in Electrical/Controls, familiarity with NFPA 70, and experience in construction, commissioning, and startup. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Position requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Must have 5-10 years of experience in Electrical or Controls Engineering, with Oil and Gas experience preferred.
• P.E. preferred
• Proficient with P&IDs, IO lists, circuit schedules, communications, PLC panels, and loop diagrams, and well versed in NFPA 70.
• Must have construction support, site commissioning, and start-up experience.
• Exposure to PLC programming is a plus.
• Must have experience specifying, ISA data sheets, procuring instrumentation and control devices.
• Must be able to train Junior staff, communicate with peers, contractors, and clients clearly and efficiently.
• Position requires strong troubleshooting skills.
• Must be a self-starter capable of handling solo projects as well as working with a group, eager to expand knowledge base, teach others, and be detail oriented.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
• A Pre-employment drug screen in compliance with federal regulations is required.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
• Experience with AutoCAD or Revit is desired.

Responsibilities

• Electrical and controls design support for pipeline, compressor station, and terminal/tank projects nationwide.
• Provide design, engineering, and technical expertise to a team of established consultants with a 40-year track record in Oil & Gas.
• Participate in a multi-disciplinary project team in a lead role.
