Job summary

Jacobs is addressing critical infrastructure needs through world-class data center construction. Based in Baton Rouge, you will work onsite at the St. Francisville project, leading technical services for electrical construction and coordinating with home office engineering and field teams.

You will guide document control, manage approvals, and mentor your team to ensure high-quality deliverables on complex facilities.

Qualifications

• 10 years in electrical engineering or 15–20 years in construction management for heavy-industrial facilities.
• Understanding construction means, methods, codes, and standards.
• Experience interpreting home office engineering documents for construction.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent with certified technical training.
• Effective oral and written communication.
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Maintain liaison with home office engineering, outside firms, and client reps.
• Provide on-site technical support interpreting engineering documents and specs.
• Engage in permitting with AHJs and coordinate with field teams.
• Collaborate with Design-Build contractors in the field.
• Lead document management and revision control for all drawings.
• Provide oversight through a construction document control lead.
• Address spec deviations and NCRs with project teams.
• Mentor and lead your team toward project goals.
