Job summary

KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing is seeking an Electrical Superintendent to supervise the planning and installation of electrical systems in new or existing construction. The role ensures adherence to contract documents and codes, coordinating with site teams and inspectors.

The position requires leadership, extensive field experience, and the ability to interpret drawings and documents to drive safe, compliant installations. A valid Driver’s License is required.

Qualifications

• Journeyman or Master Electrician license required.
• Minimum four years of formal apprenticeship training.
• Minimum eight years of field experience.
• CPR, First Aid OSHA 10 hour, and Hilti certification required.
• Ability to work with people at all levels and demonstrate leadership.
• Familiarity with tool and equipment operation listed in the job brief.
• Able to interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Identify price changes in the contract.
• Provide legible sketches and communicate information to employees.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Plan work schedule by assigning tasks to employees.
• Order materials and tools.
• Schedule delivery of major material items.
• Attend job site meetings.
• Supervise installation and verify compliance with contract documents and codes.
• Call for inspections and accompany inspector during walk-through.
• Notify general contractor of code violations or deviations in installation documents.
• Administer Safety, Drug-Free Workplace, and Hazardous Communication programs on site.
• Work with manufacturers, owner’s representatives, or owners to ensure proper installation.
• Know employee capabilities and place them in applicable tasks.

Education

Journeyman or Master Electrician license

Four years formal apprenticeship training

Eight years field experience
