Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical is seeking an Electrical Superintendent for the Chester, Virginia area. This onsite role requires a valid electrical journeyman license or a four-year engineering degree and extensive supervisory experience.

Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship. The role focuses on supervising field construction, coordinating subcontractors, and maintaining schedule and budget adherence across projects.

Qualifications

• Current State Electrical Journeyman License or a four-year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or experience (licensed journeyman).
• 10+ years experience in electrical construction supervision, technology, methods, equipment, tools, and work procedures
• OSHA30 or ability to obtain
• Understanding of construction and labor scheduling, cost control and ability to control and supervise large groups
• Excellent computer, communication, organizational, supervisory and planning skills
• Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check, and MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Supervises construction process of assigned field projects to ensure each phase of the work is completed on schedule, within budget, and with quality workmanship as expected by the Company and the customer.
• Supervises, inspects, reviews, records, and reports all on-site construction related activities in addition to ensuring assigned subcontractors perform their work on schedule.
