Job summary

SpaceX is hiring a Sr. Electrical Construction Project Engineer for Starbase, TX. You will design, build, and activate electrical infrastructure from HV substations to LV racks and BESS, acting as project manager and site lead.

You will coordinate with contractors, utilities, and internal teams to deliver reliable, high-capacity power systems supporting Starship production, test, and launch operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field required or considered with strong electrical experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in electrical construction, power systems, substations, BESS, or facilities electrical management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full lifecycle of electrical construction projects with on-time, under-budget delivery.
• Manage multi-discipline electrical construction projects in field and office; act as PM and owner.
• Coordinate scheduling, cost control, and commissioning.
• Interact with contractors, utilities, OEMs, and internal customers.
• Resolve field design/construction conflicts across HV, MV, and LV systems.
• Gather proposals and initiate contracts; support permitting and interconnection.
• Facilitate approvals from city, utility, and environmental agencies.
• Track project status through energization and turnover; ensure reliability.
