Job summary

Zoox is seeking a Staff Electrical Architecture System Engineer to join the Electrical Architecture team in Foster City, CA. You will help develop electrical and electronic system architecture designs, best practices, and validation procedures for Zoox's autonomous robotaxi.

You will work with cross-functional teams including vehicle integration, firmware, and component development to deliver robust solutions.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in vehicle electrical architectures and ECU power states.
• 3+ years with model-based system engineering tools.

Responsibilities

• Own the low-voltage power distribution system requirements.
• Own the vehicle communication architecture requirements.
• Own the power modes and power states requirements.
• Collaborate with system engineers and component owners to define architecture.
• Participate in tech reviews and supervise test strategy and verification.
• Conduct root cause analysis for power distribution and network issues.
