SleepRes, Inc. in San Francisco seeks a Lead Electrical Engineer to own the electrical architecture of PAP therapy systems. You will design, verify, and produce electronics, manage safety, EMC, and production-test interfaces, and mentor engineers.

The role collaborates across systems, firmware, mechanical, software, QA, regulatory, suppliers, and CMOs to deliver reliable medical electronics from concept to commercialization.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field; MS preferred.
• 8+ years in electrical product development; principal-level typically 10–12+ years.
• Strong experience with analog/digital circuit design, embedded MCU systems, power electronics, sensor interfaces, PCB design, signal integrity, grounding, shielding, and EMC.
• Hands-on lab troubleshooting with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, analyzers, and related equipment.
• Experience taking complex electromechanical products from concept to production.

Responsabilités

• Lead electrical architecture, design, development, and verification for SleepRes PAP products.
• Own main control PCBAs, power distribution/conversion, sensor interfaces, blower/heater electronics, display/UI hardware, and RF/cellular interfaces.
• Translate system requirements into electrical specs, interfaces, components, margins, and production-ready solutions.
• Lead schematic/PCB layout, component selection, tolerance analysis, derating, grounding, shielding, and signal integrity reviews.
• Own electrical-safety and EMC engineering, including pre-compliance testing and support of certification activities.
• Collaborate with NPI, suppliers, and contract manufacturers on DFM, ICT/functional test, calibration, programming, and yield.
