Job summary

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management and 6+ years in electric utility project management, with PMI PMP certification preferred and proficiency in Primavera or Microsoft

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or relevant field with a minimum of six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in project/construction management in the electric utility industry, or equivalent education/experience.
• Twelve (12) years of experience in project/construction management in electric utility construction is preferred.
• PMI PMP certification is preferred.
• Experience with creating project schedules in Primavera, Microsoft Project or equivalent scheduling software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple concurrent transmission electric system capital improvement projects from initiation through completion.
• Assemble and coordinate cross-functional project teams for high‑priority projects.
• Lead project teams to complete projects on time, within scope and within budget.
• Develop baseline project schedules to identify critical paths and milestones.
• Monitor progress and dates in the project schedule monthly.
• Identify at‑risk activities and mitigate schedule delays.
• Facilitate project meetings and communicate status, risks, and issues to leadership.
• Escalate project issues, risks, and change requests as needed.
• Control costs through monthly cash flow projections and cost variance analysis.
• Review contractor quotes, issue PO requisitions, and approve change orders and invoices.
• Collaborate with company personnel to achieve project objectives.
