Job summary

ITC Holdings Corp is seeking a seasoned Project Engineer to manage multiple transmission capital improvement projects from initiation to completion. The role requires assembling cross-functional teams and coordinating efforts for high-priority initiatives to ensure on-time delivery within scope and budget.

You will develop detailed baselines, monitor progress, and address risks before delays. Strong scheduling, vendor management, and leadership are essential in this hybrid Cedar Rapids role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or relevant, equivalent experience.
• PMP certification from PMI preferred.
• Experience using Primavera or MS Project or equivalent scheduling software.
• Experience in risk assessments and identifying alternative solutions.
• Ability to coordinate with outside vendors to meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with electric utility construction processes and equipment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel on short notice.
• Authorized to work in the United States; ITC does not sponsor visas.

Responsibilities

• Manages multiple concurrent transmission electric system capital improvement projects from initiation through completion.
• Assembles cross-functional project teams and coordinates efforts for high-priority projects.
• Leads project teams to meet objectives on time, within scope and budget.
• Develops baseline project schedule identifying critical path and milestones.
• Updates construction dates in the project schedule monthly.
• Monitors progress towards schedule and identifies at-risk activities.
• Facilitates project meetings with team and stakeholders; escalates issues as needed.
• Negotiates with vendors and manages change orders and invoices.
