Job summary

PG&E in Antioch, CA seeks an Asset Performance Management (APM) Specialist for a hybrid role focused on construction and improvement projects in Substation Construction. You will coordinate with engineers, inspectors and contractors to ensure projects meet design, safety and regulatory standards.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Construction Management or Civil/Mechanical Engineering, at least 5 years in industrial engineering or construction, and travel about 50%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5 years of experience in Industrial Engineering or Construction.
• Travel approximately 50% with occasional overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Applies advanced knowledge of professional and technical concepts to projects in multiple disciplines such as civil and electrical substations.
• Attends job scope walk downs with PG&E Engineers and Project Managers, leads job scope discussions with SCM Supervisors, conducts preliminary site visits and reviews constructability of proposed projects.
• Interprets, designs and writes scope documentation and contributes to decisions with Project Managers and SCM Supervisors regarding contract work.
• Reviews RFPs to confirm financial data submitted from the contractor matches job scope.
• Addresses communication with contractors and leads meetings at the job site for design review and questions.
