Qualifikationen

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Active New York State Bar license in good standing.
• Minimum 5 years of elder law and estate planning experience.
• Experience with Medicaid planning and crisis planning strategies.
• Strong knowledge of New York estate planning laws.
• Experience drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare proxies, and related documents.
• Ability to work 100% onsite in Hauppauge, NY.

Aufgaben

• Advise clients on Medicaid eligibility, asset protection, and long-term care planning options.
• Develop and implement pre-planning and crisis planning solutions for urgent needs.
• Prepare and oversee estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, healthcare proxies, and POA.
• Guide clients through nursing home placement and community Medicaid programs.
• Oversee Medicaid applications and appeals with accuracy and urgency.
• Meet directly with LegalShield members and private clients to understand goals and recommend strategies.
• Work closely with families navigating sensitive healthcare, financial, and end-of-life planning concerns.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, referral sources, and internal team members.
• Provide clear, compassionate legal guidance that is easy to understand and trust.
• Support the Estates Department's collaborative approach while managing client consultations.

Ausbildung

Juris Doctor from an accredited law school

Active New York State Bar license in good standing
