Job summary

HireHawk is seeking a Mid-Level Elder Care Attorney to guide elderly clients through Medicaid planning, Crisis Care, and Crisis Medicaid matters. You will independently manage cases from intake to resolution, providing practical, timely legal guidance.

The role is primarily remote, with one day per week in Hauppauge, NY, and travel across NYC's five boroughs as needed. Brooklyn-based candidates are preferred when possible.

Qualifications

• Active NY Bar admission required.
• Experience in Elder Law and Medicaid planning.
• Experience with Crisis Care and Crisis Medicaid matters.
• Ability to independently manage client matters and provide direct guidance.
• Willingness to travel to Hauppauge office weekly.
• Ability to serve clients across NYC's five boroughs.

Responsibilities

• Own and independently manage elder-law matters involving Medicaid planning, long-term care, and Crisis Medicaid planning.
• Guide clients and families through urgent care and Medicaid decisions with practical advice.
• Develop Medicaid planning strategies based on client circumstances.
• Handle Crisis Care and Crisis Medicaid matters requiring timely planning.
• Conduct consultations and explain complex Medicaid and elder-law requirements clearly.
