The Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Center for Elder Justice at Riverspringhealth is seeking a Senior Elder Justice Specialist for a full-time role. This position entails advocacy with district attorneys, case management, and conducting safety assessments for clients, ensuring a trauma-informed, client-centered approach.
The ideal candidate will have an LMSW or LCSW certification and experience in geriatrics or elder abuse cases. An annual salary range of $80,000 to $90,000 comes with health insurance and retirement benefits.
Reports to: Director and Managing Attorney
Hours: Full Time (M – F, 9 am – 5 pm)
The Elder Justice Specialist will assist the Weinberg team in the intake process, admissions, case management, discharge plans, and safety plans for all clients. They will be actively advocating with the district attorneys’ offices, family, criminal, housing court and supreme court personnel and judges, NYPD, NYCHA, private and community guardian programs, and other social service agencies as well as testify in court hearings as needed. The EJS will collaborate with the Public Health Specialist, Program Assistant and Assistant Director to complete grant reports in a timely manner and will also manage the administration, collection and follow‑up of all safety assessments completed with RiverSpring Living admissions, while working collaboratively with care teams.
