Job summary

Redwood Materials in Reno, NV is seeking a Senior Training Specialist in Environment, Health, and Safety to lead EHS and training programs for its Energy Services operations. You will translate regulatory and company requirements into hands-on programs for operators, technicians, and engineers on the plant floor.

This role involves designing for EHS, delivering safety training (LOTO, electrical safety, forklift), maintaining the training matrix, supporting audits, and ensuring audit-ready

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety/engineering or equivalent EHS training.
• 5+ years in manufacturing EHS program delivery.
• Authorized outreach trainer status or ability to obtain.
• Knowledge of federal/state safety regulations and risk assessment.
• Experience with Design for EHS and factory instruction.
• Strong writing skills and classroom delivery.
• Detail oriented with record-keeping in a fast-paced environment.
• MS Office, SharePoint, and LMS familiarity.
• Comfortable in active production environments with PPE.
• CSP/ASP/CHST certification or related battery/power electronics background is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with process engineers to design EHS at production design.
• Provide EHS support for R&D power electronics.
• Support field service with on-site EHS guidance.
• Maintain EHS training matrix and LMS records.
• Support audits and regulatory inspections.
• Deliver EHS training including LOTO, Electrical Safety, forklift.
• Deliver 10-hour general industry training to new hires and 30-hour training for supervisors.
• Create work instructions and toolbox talks translating work requirements into training content.
