Job summary

ERM in Manhattan, New York, NY, is seeking a Senior Consultant, Safety and Sustainable Operations. Lead complex compliance projects, translate regulatory requirements into actionable strategies, and support safer workplaces and stronger environmental performance for major industrial clients.

You’ll provide technical guidance on EHS regulations, contribute to plans and reports, and help clients achieve long-term operational resilience across diverse industries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Safety, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
• 3+ years of relevant EHS experience or internships.
• Strong hands-on proficiency with spreadsheets and databases.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong time management.
• Inquisitive mindset with ability to analyze data and interpret regulations.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to client sites.
• Driver's license required and ability to travel frequently.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance on interpretation and application of EHS regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
• Prepare plans, permits, and reports related to hazardous waste, air quality, stormwater, NPDES, wastewater, EPCRA programs.
• Conduct EHS compliance assessments and manage corrective actions.
• Deliver on-site EHS support to clients as needed.
• Compile, analyze, and evaluate data to support project deliverables.
• Manage multiple projects within scope, budget, and schedule; ensure high-quality outcomes.
• Collaborate with ERM leaders to support project execution and client satisfaction.
