Job summary

Saint-Gobain is seeking a Sr. EHS & Sustainability Engineer, Level 1, based in Northborough, MA, to advance EHS, sustainability, and 5S strategies while strengthening a proactive culture across Innovation North America and R&D sites.

The role is onsite and reports to the Strategic EHS&S Manager, partnering with teams, contractors, and global networks. You will implement policies, lead risk assessments and audits, manage energy and environmental programs, and champion 5S improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of relevant experience, or master's with 3+ years.
• Experience in EHS management, training, and communication.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other EHS requirements.
• Strong project management and contractor coordination.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and monitor EHS policies and procedures for compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and company standards.
• Guide risk assessments, safety audits, incident investigations, contractor activities, and EHS training and awareness initiatives.
• Design and manage sustainability programs; track energy, water, waste, and environmental-impact reduction initiatives.
• Champion 5S and continuous improvement through audits, training, employee engagement, and improvement projects.
• Serve as SME for EHS, sustainability, and 5S; backup Laser Safety Officer and Radiation Safety Officer.
• Collaborate with R&D teams, contractors, regulatory agencies, and regional/global networks to implement best practices.
