Job summary

L3Harris is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to support two Maryland sites, Millersville and Hanover. The role drives EHS programs, audits, and regulatory compliance across manufacturing, assembly, repair, and office environments.

Responsibilities include incident investigations, training program development, and cross-site collaboration with operations and leadership. A Bachelor’s or higher in a related field is preferred, with extensive EHS experience and a strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience.
• Graduate Degree with at least 4 years of related experience; in lieu of degree, 10 years of experience.
• Practical experience developing, training, and implementing EHS programs and trainings.
• Ability to research technical information as required.
• Ability to manage time and projects across multiple sites or programs.
• Experience managing a budget with vendors and consultants for EHS compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversees Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) at two locations (Millersville, MD and Hanover, MD).
• Serves as the SME in EHS to Operations, Engineering, and Program Management.
• Reports to the Operation leads for the two facilities.
• Supports incident investigations and data/trend analysis to determine root cause.
• Focuses on continuous improvement and management of change of EHS programs.
• Establishes and maintains contacts with regulatory agencies and ensures documentation.
